Explore Your Medicare Advantage (Part C) Options with a Local Expert

Medicare Advantage (also known as Part C) is one of the most popular ways to receive Medicare benefits — but it’s not one-size-fits-all. At Medicare MO Plans / Akeman Insurance, we help you compare local plans side-by-side, so you can find one that meets your medical needs, financial goals, and lifestyle.

We’re based in Aurora, Missouri and serve clients throughout a 50-mile radius of Mt. Vernon. As an independent, licensed broker, we guide you through your Medicare Advantage choices in plain language — without pressure or call center runarounds.

What Is Medicare Advantage?

Medicare Advantage is a type of Medicare-approved plan offered by private insurance companies. These plans replace Original Medicare (Parts A and B) and

often include extra benefits such as:

  • Prescription drug coverage (Part D)
  • Vision, hearing, and dental services
  • Gym memberships or wellness programs
  • Transportation and over-the-counter (OTC) benefits

Plans vary depending on your location and carrier, which is why working with a local agent matters. We help you review your options so you can enroll with confidence.

Why Consider a Medicare Advantage Plan?

Choosing a Medicare Advantage plan may offer more comprehensive coverage and lower overall costs, depending on your situation. Key benefits may include:

  • All-in-One Coverage
Combines hospital, doctor, and drug coverage into a single plan
  • Extra Benefits
Most plans include services not covered by Original Medicare
  • Fixed Copays and Lower Premiums
Predictable costs and many $0 premium plans available
  • Out-of-Pocket Maximums
Caps your annual Medicare spending (Original Medicare has no limit)
  •

We’ll help you evaluate how each plan handles doctor visits, specialist referrals, prescriptions, and hospital care — so you know exactly what to expect.

Local Plans Available in Your Area
